About this project

The Tripura Forest Department is a large organization having over 2000 employees. Unfortunately due to lack of digitization the HR information is stored in thousands of files and personal service book of employees. This resulted in several issues like lack of access to data, delay in processing pension, retirement. The organization decided to resolve the pain points generated by the existing arrangement through development of an information system for HR management.

My Role (Deputy Conservator of Forests (IT & Statistics) in the Tripura Forest Department)

As the product manager on the product, I carried out the following:

  1. User interviews with officials at different levels of management to understand their requirements
  2. Develop EPICs and User Persona for the different categories of users
  3. Prioritization of Product Features
  4. Managing the engineering team to ensure to ensure timely attainment of project goals
  5. Testing of applications for detection of bugs and further refinement
