About this project
The Tripura Forest Department regulates forest related businesses and issues thousands of licenses annually for a wide variety of purposes. Unfortunately due to lack of digitization all applications are processed physically in paper files. This resulted in several issues like lack of access to data, delay in processing and lack of transparency causing inconvenience for the users of these services. Thus to improve the ease of doing business in the forestry sector the department decided to develop
My Role (Deputy Conservator of Forests (IT & Statistics) in the Tripura Forest Department)
As the product manager on the product, I carried out the following:
- Running Design Sprint to get the user requirements
- Translate user requirements into EPICs
- Conducting user research for understanding the requirement better.
- Prioritizing product features for subsequent versions
- Reviewing all design work and integrating and engineering.
- Ensuring seamless launch
