About this project

Tribhuvan Mobile app and the Tripura Forest Plantation Management System Web application were developed for managing the forest plantation activities of the Tripura Forest Department. The forest department needed to resolve pain points like absence of digital spatial database to understand the locations of forest plantations in various parts of the state, monitor the progress in plantation activities to achieve goals timely and ensure proper documentation of field activities for ensuring better transparency. The GPS data of the plantation was collected by Tribhuvan Mobile app using handheld Bluetooth linked GPS receivers developed by India’s premier National Remote Sensing Centre at Hyderabad.

The engineering part of the project was carried out by developers at the National Remote Sensing Centre at Hyderabad.
